Step right up! Picture a summer evening at the fair: rides on the ferris wheel, rounds of bingo, crisp summer air. And of course, delicious… and often deep fried… food. Join us for a celebration of carnival cuisine at Blue Ribbon Fare by Chef Jordan of En Place Catering which will include seven small plate courses.
We hope you will relish the opportunity to enjoy an elevated menu, specialty libations, and great conversations with friends - old and new.

We were lucky enough to host Chef Jordan Taylor for our picnic event in the summer of 2022. His team was incredible and food delicious, we knew we had to have him back this summer!
For 15 years he worked his way up in kitchens in Portland, quickly moving into the role of Kitchen Manager and Executive Chef. In the Spring of 2017, he moved back to Sioux Falls, SD to start his first restaurant. Opening May of 2017, Bread & Circus Sandwich Kitchen made a name for itself for its unique take on traditional dishes. Its success is greatly due to Jordan’s ability to create creative and memorable dishes. Bread & Circus has attracted national attention, most recently being featured on The Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.
In 2020 Jordan, and his business partner, opened Pizza Cheeks, a chef-driven pizza-by-the-slice restaurant located in downtown Sioux Falls.
The En Place Catering kitchen, opening in the Fall of 2021, was a natural addition to Jordan’s portfolio, as the volume of catering requests surpassed their other restaurants’ capacity. He has recently opened a fourth restaurant, Boat House Bar & Grill at Spring Creek, north of Pierre, and doesn't plan on slowing down anytime soon.

Speciality cocktails and drinks at the bar (3 alcoholic beverages) are included in the ticket price. Cash bar is available. NA craft mocktails will also be available.
Gluten-free and vegetarian dietary restrictions will be accommodated but due to the unique menu, other adjustments will be difficult to accommodate.
The Location
Midway Camp in Volga, SD
It was Jason Voss' idea to provide a place for people from all over to come and enjoy such beautiful river views, peaceful camping and create an amazing and beautiful event area so that no matter the occasion, everyone can enjoy. Along with catering to out-of-towners and visitors, Jason wanted a place like Midway to be open to the locals all year round, sharing a beer after work, having some drinks and enjoying their weekend camping trip without straying to far from home.
Midway has been a fantastic place to host events for over 100 years. With over 160 acres of stunning river views for perfect picture opportunities, a spacious indoor event center, on-site sleeping and other accommodations it is a down-home space for events.
